Every year at this time of year (winter here in the Southern Hemisphere), thousands of penguins coming from the Antarctic on the Atlantic are in search of warmer waters and with this travel by our coast they bring a lot of joy and a spectacle to the part !! !

In the fishing days, several species of birds compete for their lunch with the native fishermen of Barra da Lagoa ... another spectacle in our eyes !!!

Global globalization has not been able to change the calm and peaceful climate of this Paradise!
***Monkeys
This monkey species is known as Lion Mico, they are here thousands of years and long before the Protuguesa colonization.
They are very intelligent and the community respects their habitat by not feeding and encouraging the preservation of the specie.

As for human species, this is UNIC that offers risk to nature!
Pollution, deforestation and disrespect on the planet!
One of the most important things I learned in these 10 years that I live here in Barra da Lagoa is to value, respect and love nature and I have learned to live in harmony with other species, whether native or domestic!
