Hello Hive Family
here is Mukki the new family dog of us
this is a picture of him i found on FB saying he needs a home. its probably an older pic.
something really is coming from my heart is to rescue poor dogs from the streets and bad shelters, mostly i did before was in the Bahamas, and now as i am living again in Austria, i like to help rescues from Romania and Hungaria, also there are many others like Poland, Serbia, Croatia etc. Many countries where dogs are not treated they way it should be.
I will always take in some dog which is most likely never making it out of a shelter because no one can/would take it.
Recently we adopted MUKKI an AmStaff/Pitbull (mix) whatever he is, i am not sure. Anyway he is a LISTED dog, this means he can not be brought into Germany unfortunately and Austria yes but also not many people are willing to take this kind because of their bad reputation. But... they are the most lovable dogs when you know them.
Mukki is about 7 years old and spent 5 years in a Romanian Shelter all alone in a kennel.
He came to us 4 weeks ago and he was so happy to finally get out and be able to move so he was of course a little "wild".
We went on a long walk and then he was playing in the garden and checking out the other 2 dogs (girls) we have and running around like crazy. After 7 hrs of doing so he finally got tired and chilled.
Since then he is so happy and always tries to please us by doing all the way we want him to be, i guess he just tries so hard to not return to the shelter. He doesnt know that we would never do this to him.
He walks nicely, runs on the long leash and greets everyone we encounter friendly.

There are many more like him sitting there waiting..... so so sad.
So if you want to adopt a dog from there please do so. Its of course a little work in the beginning but way shorter than adopting a puppy and teaching him everything from the beginning. Like being house broken, not to chew on things. then puperty comes.... yes also with dogs.... and they need guidance.
So please before you go to a breeder, think about how many are in need of a home and how many are killed just because you bought a puppy and then couldnt keep it and it ends up in a shelter. Its a commitment of min. 10-15 years. No matter what, if you are moving, having kids, loosing your job etc. you must be able to take care of the animal.
So anyway i just wanted to introduce you to our new family member Mukki living now with Josie (pitti) and Stella (potcake = mixed breed from the Bahamas).
