Observing a family of geese in spring (inkl. video)

2019 in Spring i was able to watch a family of geese living a happy live at the coastline of the Lake Neusiedler in Eastern Austria. It was very nice watching the mother Goose taking care of her offspring and the light in the early morning was a little bit bad in the first few minutes after sunrise but got brilliant afterwards. On the first pictures I still had to use a high ISO to get a decent Shutter Speed. On the end of this article I inserted a small video, be sure to check it out! these small geese are really cute.

I can still remember that it was still pretty cold when we broke up in the morningan and we visited the "Hide" befor the sun rose at about half past five in the morning. It took quite a long time till the first birds arrived but then we had luck with these geese and several other birds that visited this place in the early morning. Since we booked our accomodation with breakfast we left this place at about 08:30 am to be able to get our breakfast on time. Directly after the breakfast we went on to visit several other places around the lake. But these baby geese where definitely one of the cutest animal i took a picture of this day.

So sweet! Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing with us :) :)

Thank you, yes they are pretty cute! One might like to cuddle with them, but I think the mother goose wouldn't let you.
