Foxy Loxy

A mere few of you may remember how last winter I had a cat come knocking at my door

I did get a glimpse of him a few weeks ago, but he gave me the cold shoulder. Can you blame him(her?)?

Well, this year we are getting visited regularly by a fox! I love to think of him (yes, him, I've seen him marking the territory!) as just one, but there could be many. I've seen him trotting on my yard, trotting down the side walk, trotting behind the kids as they walk to school, and most recently trying to get a good look into my niece's car where her two coon hounds were spending the night (Christmas night).

Typical of me, I did not arrive on the scene fast enough, but I did get two shots from the window of the fox looking longingly towards the car with the coon hounds (can't see the car...the car in the pic is a passerby also gawking at the
lovely fox). The fox marked its territory and then trotted into my neighbor's back yard. We let the dogs out soon after but they sort of shrugged.

So here are my lame fox photos....quite the lovely bushy tail, don't you think?

You captured some amazing shots of the fox there :D wishing you a very happy new year too :D

And Happy New Year to you too ;0)

Well now... thats not bad at all!

No foxes where we live... at least I never see them!

I don't get how the payout works, but hey! Who's complaining?!

Also, I can't believe I haven't known about this. Better late than never!

What a gorgeous fox, such a bushy tail! How lucky you get regular visits.

I hear crazy fox noises at night on the hills nearby and one time I saw one as I was walking my dog but they never come into the garden. I wish they did and I could get some good shots like you have!

the foxes seem to have no fear of humans around here!

We had some foxes in our garden last year. I know some consider them pests, but they are beautiful animals and they don't cause any problem for us. They don't even go after our chickens.

I'm super mesmerized by their tails! It's funny because everyone is spotting "the fox" all over town, but in reality, I wonder if it's really just one, or many!

I love too see how they prance along, like walking on air! Great capture! I have only seen one going along our seawall once!!

there seems to be a comeback here in NJ. i'm on the lookout - hopefully some more and better pics!
