Casuarius casurarius, or simply Cassowary has been named the world’s most dangerous bird in the Guinness Book of Records. It's home range is the rainforest of the north eastern coast of Australia, and as the third largest bird on the planet it is puzzling that its reputation is not more well known.

They are descendants of dinosaurs. Looking somewhat like a combination of a turkey and an ostrich, their body features different colours and textures (from feathers to skin) like that of a dinosaur. They cannot fly, they can put up a fight, jumping as high as two metres from the ground, and they can run at a speed of up to 50 kilometres per hour. You surely will not out run or jump them.

They use a multi arsenal attack and the crown of their heads known as the CASQUE is one of their main weapons. The casque is a helmet-like crest located on the top of their head. It is around 15 centimetres in length and 17 centimetres in height. Prevents any skull injuries to the cassowary during fights.

The real KILL shot comes in the form of FREDDY COUGAR like claws on their feet. The middle claw is a dagger, standing at 12 centimetres in length, and can kill – it’s quite capable of killing humans. This bird is aggressive and has a mean streak akin to a Hornet, Pitbull, or Wild Boar.
The cassowary will not attack for no reason. They are quite shy creatures and would much rather avoid confrontation where possible...but when provoked, threatened, or young approached...WATCHOUT.

Every year people underestimate these powerful birds and over 200 cassowary attacks are reported every year. There are hundreds of attacks every year but, the last recorded human death by a cassowary was in 1926. Although some tribes of the area say their have been many unreported deaths over the years.
