I started researching about beautiful and rare creatures, I decided to start a series and share the digest of my research with you here, I hope you like it,
for the 1st post of this series, I want to write about my today's finding about Yellow-Banded Poison Dart Frog,
It is so beautiful, but:
They have a toxic skin, but yet beautiful and shiny
Their females are physically bigger than males
They mostly east insects, ants, different spider types and some of them also eat wee bugs, as a matter of fact ant is one of the sources of their toxic
It takes between 10-14 days for their eggs to hatch
unlike some other frogs who can leave up to 15 years, this type of frog can leave up to 7 years and study shows they normally live 5 to 7 year.
And by the way, did you know that people used to use the poison of Yellow-Banded Poison Dart Frog as poison on their arrows and in their blow darts?
