An exploration of the oceanic trenches of New Hebrides in the Pacific Ocean revealed that brotulas and crustaceans can be found at a depth of 7,000 meters under the sea. It was possible to observe brotulas in the bottom of New Hebridas.

what are the brotulas? And what is the connection between Zoarcidae and smallpox?

The brotulas form a family, the Bythitidae, of ophidiiform fishes. They are also known as viviparous brotulas as they generally bear live young. Scientists also saw fish from the Zoarcidae family, known as smallpox

The abyss is a fascinating place. So many undiscovered creatures living down there. An alien world undisturbed by man's destructive behaviour. These creatures will definately outlive anything living on the surface.
