Unless you’ve been unconscious for the past week, you know who Cecil The Lion was. Millions of people all over the world are expressing sadness and outrage at the meaningless slaughter of the noble leader of his pride. When reactions and emotions are on high, there are people looking to capitalize on the raw nerves.
Take Karen Anderson, for example. She “is a professional Animal Communicator, Psychic and Medium”. According to her website:
“She provides her clients with incredibly detailed private consultations and refers to her style of readings as an ‘Evidential Medium’ as she strives to obtain evidence and actual facts for her clients.”
Anderson clearly loves animals, but equally clear is her faith-based interpretation of reality. Whatever passes as “evidence” for her has nothing to do with scientific evidence. Regardless, she took to her Facebook page a few days ago to let the world know that she has successfully made contact with Cecil in the “afterlife”. Here is her post:
