Today I found Goldie on the side of the road. He was sitting alone, looking at every person passing by, asking for help.
Someone had hurt him badly. The wound on his head and ear was infected and open, but despite the pain, he was still wagging his tail and trying to smile at me when I approached.
I couldn't leave him there. I took him home, cleaned his wound, gave him food and water. He was so hungry, he hadn't eaten for days.
The vet said the infection is serious and he needs treatment for at least 2 weeks. But he is a fighter. Look at his eyes - he still trusts humans even after what we did to him.
I named him Goldie. I will document his recovery every day here. This is Day 1.
