Buaya tersebut di tangkap para pekerja kebun sawit milik warga setempat.
Namun sekira pukul 11.00 WIB, pekerja kebun sawit tersebut menemukan buaya sehingga mereka menangkap buaya agar tidak menyerang pekerja, mereka mengikat kaki dan mulut buaya tersebut.
Kemudian buaya tersebut diserahkan kepada pihak BKSDA Aceh wilayah Kota Langsa. Untuk sementara dari pihak BKSDA menitipkan buaya tersebut ke hutan Kota Langsa, di karenakan kondisi buaya itu pun sehat dan tidak terluka.
