It's time for another long wait for the bloodiest anime of all times. Attack on Titan Season 2 came to a conclusion last week, leaving fans agonizing for the truth. While it's finale was released last weekend, the mysteries of titans remained unanswered and will not be revealed until Season 3, at the earliest.
The cliffhanger was brutal and people are expecting for a Season 3 in the coming 4 years. Well the good news is, fans won’t have to wait another four years to see Season 3. As being confirmed by Wit Studio, the designers and authors behind Attack on Titan confirmed that the show would be back some time in 2018.
Let's get into some review on the Season 2's finale. (WARNING DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE LAST EPISODE)
The existence of titans in the walls have been a mystery until a hint was given in the last few episodes. Titans that are supposed to erase humans' existence in fact, were revealed to said that titans were in the very walls to protect humans enclosed within. However, they were only a hypothesis by Hange Zoë‘ that stated, transformed human titans can produce a "material" which is very similar to the materials that were used to build the walls.
The all-time secret was also revealed when they exposed the true identify of the armored and colossal titans. With them being Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover respectively. The capture of Eren by both Reiner and Bertolt remained a mystery until the point that they discovered Eren's new ability - Coordination. However, it was a very short sneak preview of his new power. This will likely be explored further in Season 3.
They also encountered the titan that ate Eren's mother. With Hannes out of rage, he tried to pin the titan down by himself and was caught mid-time. Eren that couldn't transform and Mikasa that was badly injured could only watch him being eaten by the titan - alive.
Remember that huge,large,giant and big titan that has a monkey face?
He appeared again in the very last moment. Apparently, he wasn't alone. There was a blonde man-titan standing on its shoulder and people believe that to be Eren's father. Are they a threat to humanity or simply an ally to finally help putting the attack of titans to a stop? From the very beginning, Eren suspected his father to be the key to everything. Could it be true?
