Ah welcome the amazing community of Steemit today I will be going through a show I personally feel is underrated for how good this show really is. Well if you’re a fan of this anime or just saw the thumbnail then you know its Katekyo Hitman or just simply Reborn! I’m not trying to shout the name by the way it’s just that the name has an exclamation point at the end. Anyways enough formality lets just dive right into this underdog of a great shounen anime!

Reborn! In my opinion is a very different type of anime. It starts off slow and I mean slow. It’s a 9-season anime with a respectable number of episodes topping off at episode 203 although the anime ended at this arc the manga continued past it so if you want to continue the adventures of Tsuna and the gang you’ll probably end up reading the manga. Now season 1 (episodes 1-33) is more of a slice-of-life and introduction of the main characters. These episodes will mostly center around the main character of Tsunayoshi Sawada aka Tsuna and you’ll just be watching from episode 1 of a young boy who is insecure, doesn’t have any friends, and is to shy to talk to the girl of his dreams and you’ll be watching him mature under his mentor, Reborn (yes his name is Reborn), and slowly build up the confidence to do more things, start to see him branch out and make new friends, and attempting to try and have the girl of his dreams. By episode 33 you’ll feel like the pace is slow, but you’ll also enjoy how you’ve seen how Tsuna, the flimsy kid at episode 1, grow into…well…a more “respectable” kind of young man.

Now after episode 33 the plot kicks off instantly and starts by adding in some essential characters while also hinting at what this arc is about and who the antagonist of this arc is. This arc posses a lot of training sequences and pretty good fights and establishes the main cast that you’ll see throughout this anime. This arc of hard fought games and thrilling twist and turns ends around episode 65 and we DIVE RIGHT BACK INTO another slice of life arc and no I’m not joking. This is what I mean by slow now the first 33 episodes personally I wouldn’t recommend skipping because it helps you see who these people are, how each of their personalities are very different from one another, and how this group of strangers became best friends. This though is different episodes 66-73 can be described as a “break” or “cute” but really these won’t really help you answer any burning questions you might have and doesn’t add to the plot so in my opinion you can skip them I skim watched them, but it didn’t seem that interesting.

Episode 74 is where the big main plot is introduced in what appears to be another slice of life episode turned plot. It all starts when Tsuna accidently gets caught under the ten-year bazooka (it’ll make sense if you watch the show) and I don’t want to spoil the rest but basically mostly the rest of the episodes of the anime will take place in the future with some exceptions that’ll I’ll go into in the next paragraph. Episodes 74 to around episode 141 takes place ten years into the future and is a very interesting plot that has some very memorable antagonist and of course introduces the “big villain” that is the enemy to the story. It’s very enjoyable and will make you keep wanting more to quench your thirst for information and what’s happening. This arc will contain a lot and I mean a lot of action-packed fights while also introducing a at first glance confusing new fighting style but after a few episodes and the explanation of how this new fighting style came to be you’ll learn to enjoy it. This arc will also purposely leave you very confused in the beginning before the pieces start to click towards the end of this arc so please be patient and try to enjoy this arc its great character development, fighting scenes, and touching “never give up” moments. Just remember this arc is sort of like a “set-up” arc to the main and last arc so just bear that in mind.

If you feel a little homesick and tired of the future don’t worry because episodes 141-153 take part mostly in the past with a few scenes in the future to show you what’s happening. After recognizing that they need to train and do other things that I don’t want to spoil they must return to the present to save the future of all the multiverses which will probably sound confusing at first, but it’ll really make sense by the time you reach this part in the show. Let me tell you this main antagonist is no joke, but he’ll tell a lot of them. Sorry terrible joke I know anyways yeah, this arc is a healthy mixture of a training arc with some lore and plot progression thrown into there. It’s a small arc compared to the rest of the show but is VERY important so yeah not much else I can say about this arc without spoiling key parts of the anime so onto the main arc.

Episodes 154-203 is your standard final showdown arc. It has its struggles and adds some character development and tries to answer all your burning questions. I really enjoyed these episodes because they were full of training, fight scenes, plot/lore, and an epic ultimate battle. It really is a great show the reason I can’t explain this arc very much is because…well of course it’s a very heavy spoiler battleground, but I can say this you won’t be disappointed by this decisive ending. Warning though this is half-spoiler so read if you want to there will be a pulled-out-of-nowhere power that does even the playing field so if you’re a stickler for those kinds of things just letting you know there is one.

I personally love this show and feel like it’s very underrated for how well-made this show is. Don’t get me wrong it is popular just not as popular as it should be which is why I’m talking about it now. I love how this anime shows you every step of the way how this main cast of characters grew stronger and stronger there’s no he left and came back overpowered moments in this anime. You watch them sweat, cry, and train to become that powerful and you really feel like you were there with them watching them every single step of the way. The character development in this show is 10/10 for me Tsuna goes from loser to badass and you see every change in him slowly and how every episode he grows into more and more of a leader. This review did skim through some important parts and I did that because I didn’t want to explain every arc in detail because ultimately, I want to give you enough information so that you’ll at least attempt to watch this great show and know what you’re getting yourself into. I give this anime a 10/10 and would recommend it to everyone but hey that’s just my opinion. If you liked this review don’t forget to like and share to others. If you want to see more content like this hit that jolly ol’ follow button and stay updated.
