Saying Sorry

in #apologize3 years ago

Like many other animals in the animal kingdom, humans are social animals and have a unique position in upholding social bonds. The complexity of our language is reflected in the complexity of our relationships.

When you do wrongs, it's important to apologize for them and make amends. This way the other person knows that you are willing to recognize when you've made an error or when you've harmed someone and are willing to work towards gaining back some trust.

Trust is an important factor. You're not really gonna want to interact with others if you can't trust them. They will exist, but at arms length.

That's why even apologizing for being wrong you know you didn't do something wrong or harm another is also important. If you're going to be wrong and deny it, not really showing that you're willing to make amends and realign yourself with reality.

If you're going to be wrong and stubbornly remain attached to being wrong, then you just going to be living in a disconnected manner from reality and from others. You won't be on the same level as others.

But I wonder when it comes to all the deceptions of the past year and a half, how many people are actually willing to admit they were wrong about what they've believed?

This is a funny little meme that fixes a BBC article about how you should talk to friends and relatives who believe in conspiracy theories.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theoryabout how the COVID-19 mortality wasn't 6%, or 3%, as so-called experts claimed it was. And yet the governments enacted policies and continue to enact policies as if that's the reality.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theoryabout how there would be vaccination or immunity passports.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theorytheoryabout how the vaccines would become mandated at least by proxy through the imposition of these passports to deny people access to certain things in society.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theory to build back better and remake the world according to the world economic forum's agenda.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theory of how there are other treatments other than the vaccine that work to treat this novel coronavirus.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theory of how the vaccines were never trialed and tested to do anything other than reduce mild symptoms.

You know, the alleged conspiracy theory of how the vaccines don't actually stop the spread of the virus or infection from the virus.

And there are more things that are demonstrated by the data that contradict the official narrative, yet people still deny they are real. To this day, some people still adhere to false information spread by the media and governments and their supported experts that contradict the above alleged conspiracy theories that turn out to be true.

Some people do come to realize that a certain claim from the government or media or their experts turned out to be false. But they still believe in the narrative overall and support what the government is doing.

There are very few people who truly taken how wrong the official narrative has been and start to question it. Only these people could ever do what the meme is saying, and apologize about how wrong they were and how right other people have been about the false information from the official narrative.
