Yesterday, 29th of February was a leap day, and I saw many posts about it online.
It seems quite funny to me when you think about the fact that TIME is a 100% man-made construct β°
Time zones, daylight savings time, leap years .. all of these concepts are created by humanity to help us keep track of time - and adjust the time to our own benefit.
When actually, nature is all about cycles!
The changing seasons are a good example of that.
Our ancestors had only cycles to tell the time: the cycle of the sun rising and setting, the cycle of the 4 seasons every year, and the cycle of the moon roughly every 28 days.
Did you know that the word βmonthβ actually originated from βmoonβ π and only later on the length of 1 month was adjusted to 30/31 days instead of 28!

It was a sunny moment.. but didnβt last very long π₯Ά
So now reading this and having a deep thought of timing that we have created for ourselves. Considering the leap year, why do we even have the belief of leap years. There could be a possibility that today is supposed to be the 2nd of March but we just created a 29th of February to make the whole timing system seem cool. A lot of deep thoughts on how we jist get to settle in on all of it. Hehehe this is just my head being in transit, well am back now. Nice picture the sun makes you GLOW
The whole construct of time is an illusion, and humans are the only ones that give it importance. Birds donβt care if itβs February 30 or March 1, they only know sun is shining and spring is coming π

We are actually going to have a leap second this year as well on June the 30! So if at the end of the year you all feel that you got more things done in 2020 than usual, that could be why:p
