... screen, Clip Studio comic page thumbnails in progress on another, and an “old school” pen and big ass sheet of paper to scribble and rearrange story beats and plot points on! (The only thing you can’t see is my pile of sugar and caffeine off to the right...) Looks like “I Thought It Would Be Zombies...” #1 will be a beefy 36 page issue with 29 pages of story! Follow the progress at www.ithoughtitwouldbezombies.com and look for it in October 2019!
Caffeine and sugar makes the world go around. You're doing amazing and organized work.
Bulk up your stock portfolio with soda companies... ‘cause here I go!
Very orderly and wonderful that you have a more definitive finish date. It is a LOT of work, so good on you.
I find that ”Parkinson’s Law” is quite true.
So I had to create a finish date by putting some money out and booking a show! I’ve felt a subtle shift in my mindset and focus already... so I think it’s working. Or maybe I just have gas... 🤷♂️
Well gas is a sort of pressure, so I guess any 'pressure' to meet deadlines, right? ;)
😂 💨 ... 😳
So cool! I usually just scribble on two notebooks :D But this is great to see, and maybe I'll try it out also when I finally will go back to comicking :D
There’s always so much to keep track of planning out a comic, you need notebooks galore, papers spread all over a table, or screens all around! My first full comic I did index cards tacked up on cork boards. This is my (mostly) digital version of that!
This is my first test of the Appics app to share more frequent short form visual content. Steepshot had been glitchy and seems dead in the water at the moment...
I wish I had a bit more control of the text formatting in the Appics app, but I guess that’s not really what it’s meant for! I’ve gotta learn to be less verbose!
Verbose is great. It seems like a good idea.
My wife had been using Steepshot but it disappeared out of nowhere. Partiko has been replacing so far. I'll check out Appics for sure. Looks pretty cool.
Nothing beats the good old paper, right! I did that at first too.
A few big sheets of paper really helped! I think I’ve finally got the whole framework locked in. I’ve been using the spreadsheet you showed me too... but I need to adjust it as I just bumped up my page count. I’m just a glutton for punishment! 🤨
