I'm enjoying it quite a bit, they make it really seamless to purchase cards and packs using STEEM, you can just use steemconnect for the purchases. That also makes it dangerous because you can find yourself buying too many cards if you're not careful!
That being said, you do own cards that have a limited supply so as long as the game continues to grow in popularity you can consider purchasing the cards to be an investment still.
If you feel the urge to try it out, you can use my affiliate link. The gameplay is basically setting a lineup of cards with abilities and then initiating combat with another player. Once combat starts, the cards automatically use their abilities to determine the winner. So, it's different from Magic, Hearthstone, or other card games where you actively get to use strategy during a long game. Instead, they're short games that you have to set a lineup for. Like Fantasy Football but with the ability to skip to the end result at any time and move on.
