Es geht Los: iOS 16.1, macOS 13, iPadOS 16 als Release Candidate erschienen / Here we go: iOS 16.1, macOS 13, iPadOS 16 appeared as release candidates [German/English]

in #applelast year

Gleichzeitig stehen Systemupdates an.

According to the latest information, not much time will pass before Apple presents new Macs. iPad updates have come around today in the form of the iPad Pro M2 and the tenth generation iPad. System updates are pending at the same time. While iOS 16 has been on the market since September, iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 Ventura were a long time coming. The market launch moment for the Mac and iPad systems has only just arrived, while iOS is receiving the first extensive maintenance and feature update. New pre-builds are now available via the developer area. From now on, these are no longer declared as beta, but as release candidates. You can expect the release soon.

Software and hardware updates ahead

Along with the new iPads, Apple also announced when macOS 13 Ventura and iPadOS 16 will be available. On October 24th, the operating systems for Mac and iPad will be distributed to all users for the first time. Deliveries of the updated iPads will begin in the same week - the announcement of the MacBook Pro 14" and 16" with M2 chips could also be reported in the coming days.

Significant innovations in the systems

While macOS 13 and iPadOS 16 are brand new, the window management called Stage Manager is a major change, and iOS 16.1 delivers promised features. With live activities, for example, the iPhone's lock screen will be even more versatile, because small widgets will be able to provide continuously updated live information from now on. In one interesting feature, Macs and iPhones work hand-in-hand, as the iPhone will soon be able to be used as an external webcam.

The current builds in the developer area

At the end, as always, there is a summary of which pre-versions can currently be found in the download section of the "App Store Connect" developer area, and the current build number is also noted. Anyone who takes part in the public beta usually has to wait another day until the release.
