So this day i went outside and noticed our calamansi tree looking super loaded. The branches were full the fruits were shiny and it honestly felt like they were begging to be picked already. I grabbed a small container and started picking and before i knew it i already had a whole bunch. Some were big some were tiny but all of them smelled really fresh..

When i got inside i washed all the calamansi and placed them on the table. They looked so nice and green that i almost did not want to squeeze them yet but of course i had to. I prepared my strainer knife and a clean pitcher. The moment i started cutting the calamansi the smell hit me super citrus and refreshing. It instantly made the whole kitchen feel brighter..

Squeezing them one by one was a little tiring, not gonna lie but that is part of the fun. It feels satisfying seeing the juice slowly fill up the bowl knowing you worked for it. After i got enough i poured the calamansi juice into a pitcher with cold water and lots of ice. Then i added sugar and mixed everything together. I watched the color change into that soft golden shade and it looked so good.. Simple drink pero ang sosyal tingnan.

Of course i had to taste it right away. I grabbed a glass poured some in and wow super refreshing. The flavor was just right a little sour a little sweet and super cold. It is the kind of drink that wakes you up and cools you down at the same time. And honestly homemade calamansi juice tastes so much better than anything you can buy in a bottle. You know exactly what is in it and it is just pure calamansi goodness.

While drinking its kind of laughed at how something this simple can make your whole day feel lighter. From picking the fruits straight from the tree to squeezing them by hand to finally taking that first sip there is something really rewarding about the whole process. It is a small thing but it makes you appreciate these everyday moments at home..

So yeah that is my little calamansi juice story. Super easy to make, super refreshing, and definitely something i will keep doing whenever our tree gives us a good harvest.. Sometimes the simplest things really do taste the best.
