La plaga de minúsculos insectos ha llegado hasta el jardín de mi casa y ha plagado casi todas las plantas que adornan los alrededores, incluyendo el rosal y la Nerium oleander, mejor conocida como Trinitaria. El Jardinero del vecindario me dio instrucciones para acabar con esta plaga antes que se sequen las plantas de rosa, ya que estos artrópodos llegan a succionar la savia de estas plantas hasta llegar a causar una "anemia" al consumir el nutriente vegetal, es decir la savia.
The plague of tiny insects has reached the garden of my house and has plagued almost all the plants that adorn the surroundings, including the rose bush and the Nerium oleander, better known as Trinitaria. The neighborhood gardener instructed me to get rid of this pest before the rose plants dry up, as these arthropods suck the sap from these plants and cause "anemia" by consuming the plant nutrient, the sap.
Estos insectos llegan a conformar un grupo innumerable de individuos que atacan sólo a miembros del reino vegetal, digo atacan, pero en realidad es que utilizan su aparato bucal provisto de una punta aguda para penetrar la cubierta de las hojas y tallos de las plantas, de esta manera succionan sus nutrientes y van debilitando a la planta. Para ilustrar el aparato bucal tipo
chupador, imaginemos una geringa con su aguja que penetra el tallo de la planta y comenzamos a succionar su savia, compuesta de nutrientes y compuestos azucarados que le dan vida a las plantas.
These insects come to form an innumerable group of individuals that attack only members of the plant kingdom, I say attack, but in reality they use their mouthparts equipped with a sharp tip to penetrate the cover of the leaves and stems of plants, this way they suck their nutrients and weaken the plant. To illustrate the sucking mouthparts, we imagine a syringe with its needle that penetrates the stem of the plant and begins to suck out its sap, nutrient compounds, and sugary compounds that give plants life.

Pulgón amarillo, pues su color es amarillo y se distingue de otros áfidos (cerca de 4000 especies) en que a pesar que muchos de ellos varían entre las tonalidades del color amarillo el verdadero
Pulgón amarillo cubre de negro sus 6 extremidades, sus 2 antenas y sus 2 cornículos (apéndices abdominales).
This hemiptera is known as Yellow aphid, since its color is yellow and it is distinguished from other aphids (about 4000 species) in that despite the fact that many of them vary between shades of yellow, the true < em>Yellow aphid covers its 6 extremities, its 2 antennae and its 2 cornicles (abdominal appendages) in black.
La parte interesante de este Boletín es la relación de
simbiosis que tienen las hormigas y abejas con el Pulgón amarillo, ya que les pueden servir de protectores ante sus depredadores naturales, la Mariquita, un coleóptero que se deleita al consumir grandes cantidades de pulgones en una sola merienda. El aprovechamiento simbiótico se da de forma espontánea al consumir los restos azucarados de la savia que brota del tejido celular de las hojas que perforan los pulgones y estos 2 animales no dudan en libar el rico nutriente.
The interesting part of this Bulletin is the symbiosis relationship that ants and bees have with the Yellow Aphid, since they can serve as protectors against their natural predators, the Ladybug, a beetle that delights in consume large numbers of aphids in a single snack. The symbiotic use occurs spontaneously by consuming the sugary remains of the sap that sprouts from the cellular tissue of the leaves that the aphids perforate and these 2 animals do not hesitate to sip the rich nutrient.
