Hello gamers, Moonkart is talk alot but some people are complain about how little the earning is given at the end of season, but things might changed, and here is the reason !
First, we need to know about the earning system on Moonkarts.
To simplify it, earning are categorized by 3 activity :
- Win the race and get ranked point for ranked leaderboard.
- Collect the orbitals for the orbitals leaderboard (but you need to collect at least 3 orbitals on each race for it to get counted), and
- Collect the colony for the earning of the race (there is no minimum and you can collect as much as your trunk slot).
The leaderboard in my opinion is the biggest rewards the players are competing on. Especially the orbitals, because the rewards are based on how much orbitals point you can collect, so the rewards can increase with more orbitals you collect (the ranked points only based on the position, so the reward is limited).
Now the problem is, what if there is someone who are racing too much and drain the rewards because their orbitals points are just way to high than normal players ?
This is the issue on Moonkart for few season back, with a group have player too much and the other players try to calculate it and result in the estimation of 15 hours of playing hours ! Crazy isn't it ? Put aside the operation of group to make it happen, there is another issue that proved to be right, a fuel coming out of nowhere/ bug fuel.
The asset owner have make a statement about it and opted to retire from the race, give back all the extra fuel and 1.5 mil colonies. Despite the community think the colony given back is not enough, players can expecting for higher rewards on the season ahead, because now the orbitals leaderboard rewards will not owned by 1 group or players.
But not even a season has passed, there is indication about the exploiter group has began to transfer their asset, colony, and fuel which makes the community affraid of another exploitation is going to happen. The group has make statement said the owner has delegate his assets to them, and they are going to get back into the race fairly. But of course the community can't just accept that. People are demands of more investigation for the bug exploitation because there is possibility about another bug is happen, or assets that come from as result of the exploitation is used. And of course, people will not happy to see the orbitals leaderboard rewards is going down to the exploiter group once again, they want the game is for everyone to enjoy both the game and the rewards.
The dev has announce they are taking action of getting the exploiter asset to be freeze for 2 weeks while preparing the vote for DAO. Now the next move is depend on the community (and of course based on power of their staked colony), wether they want it to keep frozen or accept the fact for the group to return.
