Hah I never played fallout actually. CoD was my things tho! Haha soo the christmas family time is doomed you say? :DD

#steemitbloggers

If only my kids were old enough to play with me....

CoD? I'm sure that particular disorder can be fixed...

Hahaha it comes to the taste I guess haha :D

I think I have around 200 hours played in Fallout 4, I just love that game! Hadn't heard about Sim Settlements before though, I'm going to have to check that out for sure.

200 hours! Wow, that's impressive.. although, I suspect I will be going down that route in the next couple of months!

I love that little hut/cafe, just my kind of place

Ha... yes, but not part of the game!

Enjoy it! Its great when we rediscover things we used to enjoy, and find its still great, or try things we gave up on to find they are better than we remember (because we've grown and changed)

Yes, it's great to revist old classics!

I played a previous version of fallout and was watching the kids playing the new one, I may be tempted to get it and try the new one it looks pretty cool

Nah, the new multiplayer one (Fallout 76) isn't really that good from what I hear... wait for a while, or get Fallout 4 which should be at a decent discount by now!

Good advice thanks I will look into that, but maybe after Christmas, I can now get out with my camera again so will be going nuts walking around getting shots in the city after a months break

Do you have the DLC as well? The storylines are better than the base game to follow in my opinion. I had a lot of fun in the Nuka World. Harvey hated it that I became the leader to a bunch of raiders though lmao.

It's fun to kill my own subordinates after doing some quests with them when their captains didn't know it. For someone who loves the concept of 'betrayal among villains' so much, I enjoyed that part the most. They're raiders after all.

Careful on the modding though, once you install something and it worked nicely, chances are you'd download a shit ton more mods XD

Well, enjoy your wasteland adventure, but don't forget there's always ANOTHER SETTLEMENT THAT NEEDS YOUR HALP GENERAL!

LOL, stupid settlements... I have some DLC, I can't remember which... quite possibly all of them, seeing as the game is old enough!

I remember having some seriously heavily modded versions of Oblivion and Skyrim. Mostly the complete overhauls, that made the game not scale to your level.

Fall out 4 looks awesome. We have part 2 or 3 on console never did find time to play it. My kid though I think finished the games. He would love to play 4 and hopefully this Dec I'll have some time to play finally also lol.

These games are great, a huge time sink! Also, easy to play in short bursts...

Never heard of FO4, but I do know about SIM.

Ahhh... Simcities is the best, but I've recently played the successor. Skylines, it is pretty decent!

Noted on that! Thanks!

I'm in complete agreement on all points. I've heard mixed things about Fallout 76 to start with and I'm not into multiplayer so I'm 'meh' about it. I'd rather go back to Fallout 4 and a fully modded PC Skyrim, at least until F76 calms down and we can see what it really becomes after all the hype is up.

Yeah, I'm not convinced that the hype has really made things better for what I consider should have stayed as a single player game... in these open world games, I don't want to meet a real life person!

Sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun with this. I myself love the good old fashioned board games with people in the room with me :)

For one, I am not a computer expert and it would drive me crazy to try to figure things out - already have to do plenty of that for things I consider my work.
And, I am short of time as it is and I could see getting sucked up in a game and then, falling behind on life tasks...
So, I stay away.

Haha! People are overrated!... Although I do love board games, I'm really trying to teach my girls to get into board games!

just blew up each and every settlement

Hahaha!

I've been playing Fallout 3 lately too (cause I've only got a PS3) but I'm literally wandering around at the moment trying to find Nuka-Cola.

Recently came across my old copy of Fallout 2 (PC) that was packed away in storage. It's my FAV

Oh come, we've all wanted to do it!

Fallout 2, wow back to the isometric age! I should go back to it, but they really did a good job modernising the franchise!

They certainly have, I jumped from #2 to New Vegas, so I've gone back to fill in the gap - must say, I really enjoyed the user interface and graphics in Vegas.

Haven't played any of the PC games yet. Personally. But I'm already a fan of the setting. I only tried the mobile Shelters thing and it was fun. Fallout is awesome in general. I'll be happy to explore more. Where would you recommend starting?

Fallout 3/4 are the FPS/RPG games, before that is the old school isometric RPG's. I recommend 3 (or 4), they are really well done and the FPS part isn't all run and gun, you can stop into a VATS freeze turn based sort of thing.

Also, they are relatively old these days, so they can be gotten at a really good price!

One of my best friends is a fan of the series and I have watched or heard things. We were even roommates at some point. But I haven't tried it personally. Maybe I will, when I replace my broken graphics card.

Oh no, a broken GPU is the saddest thing....

Even sadder, I couldn't say my goodbies to Wildstar. It was a very cute space MMO that obviously closed this November. And Overwatch characters probably have new winter skins now. Feels like another life ;)

I love Fallout 4. It was actually the first of the series I have played. Now I own all of them just like with Elder Scrolls.

I have been enjoying Fallout 76. I have seen a few people but honestly maybe 5 at any given night. It's weird no NPCs but there is a questline and there are repeatable area events that everyone in that area will get credit for whether they help or not. They just have to stay in the area until the event is over to get credit.

You get a camp set up that you gradually upgrade so no settlements. While it's seems a lot like Fallout 4 in design it is different. What I find odd is the scorched shoot guns.

Yet games like ARK have done wonderfully and this is similar but a bit more structured. ARK you kill and build and farm (literally). You raise your beasties but that's it.

I like building, I didn't think I would but fell in love with my settlements in F4. F76 does need some work. Sorry Jason Girard, you game needs a little more work.

Jason is a friend actually from WoW we convinced to quit his job at FedEx to work at Blizzard and the rest is history. He's at the the bottom of the credits LOL.

Oh and of course all my friends but him all bought for PS4, so I have to hit him up to see how the buddy system works. It's not a loss, it just needs WORK. I would recommend honestly just stick with F4 (for now) it's a bit more immersive.

Wow, you know someone at Blizzard! That's amazing!

Somehow, I don't think I can click with the Fallout76 multiplayer vibe... it's not just the players, but the instancing and all of that... maybe, I'm wrong, but I guess I not prepared to sink money in to it at launch! After all, I still have to finish Fallout 4... and that will take a little while...

A few actually, none of them work there any don't work there anymore, it was way back when WC3 was being created. Overall though, I prefer FO4 and Skyrim. There is just something about the NPCs they're snarky or funny it adds to the game. I hope they work something out.

I sent my friend a message asked him what on earth did Bethesda do? He said during internal demo everything seemed fine. I said yeah if you want to get beat on by higher lvl players all night. I told him that I thought this was supposed to be more co-op like being able to bring friends into FO4 not a PVP based game. He said it isn't that way. I said so far it is. I don't remember if he was QA on this. He was for Overwatch. He's some sort of production manager on this. At least with him I know it doesn't fall on deaf ears.

All of the good things in Fallout 76 can be better found in Fallout 4, and basically this game is Fallout 4 striped of it's substantial story elements and combined with the restrictions of a multiplayer game.

This actually sums it up.

Ouch... pretty viscous but true review!

fallout 4 as well as skyrim are the perfect games for me. I have done a post here in steemit when they announced fallout 76 and i said it will be bad and suck. Once again i proved correct!

Anyways i don't spent a lot of time in micromanagment. i just explored the vast world and destroying mutants along the way!

Well... I don't know if Fallout76 is definitely bad, but I really don't think it would be my cup of tea! Although, there are a couple of commentators here who have actually played and seem to like it!

there are no npcs, no story, the same bugs as the fallout 4 had, the game can easily crash and the deluxe edition that was around 200$ i think had a canvas bag inside. Turns out the bag was from nylon and the compensation was 500 atoms which is the equivalent of a pot of flowers inside the game :P

the last one happened more than a week ago and since then the stocks of the company dropped a lot. 2-3 days ago the company announced that they will make the bags from scratch and sent to all those who received the nylon.

Honestly i can't see how some people like this game, my only guess is that they never player the other ones

Yeah, I've been reading about the bag crisis... it seems completely ludicrous that they thought that a token in-game compensation would cover it! I'm not sure that they really thought that through...

I think I'm going to give this one a miss, it doesn't look like they are going to keep the servers on if they can't get a decent player base!

FO4 Kicks ass, but don't sell the MMOSRPG style of FO76 out. I thought that TES Online would suck, but it didn't. 76 is really going to be a great game, been playing a bit myself. To hell with Google reviews, get your own POV ;)

Ah... TES online is another that I avoided... I guess I'll give it a go sometime... but the idea is so against my grain! Meanwhile, I've still got Fallout 4 to finish, which might take a little while!

Whoa so cool. I do not play games. It is like a movie.
I see why people love them.

Ah... games are the best! When they are done well...

Never played those games, one I'll try :D

These are great open world sand-boxes... when they are done right, they are such a great escape into a different world!

Oh I love fallout 4, played through the whole thing and most of the dlc. The tone, setting and environment is just great and the music makes me grin :D

Oh, the music is definitely the best part of the thing! It gives such a surreal setting, and the tunes are just the best!

I was a bit like you but I couldn't chose between each faction. The looking after the crops and all that jazz was a bit repetitive . I got to the science lab place(forgot the name) and then Fifa came out and I gave up. Red Dead Redemption is next on the list

Red Dead Redemption! If only it would come to the PC....
