El museo se encuentra ubicado en Boca del Río, estado Nueva Esparta en Isla Margarita ☀️🌅, cuenta con cerca de 1000 metros cuadrados de exhibiciones: Él mar venezolano, Los corales, Los invertebrados marinos, Los moluscos, Los crustáceos, Los peces, Los tiburones, Rayas, chuchos y especies similares, Las tortugas marinas, Los mamíferos marinos, Pesca y acuicultura, Embarcaciones y carpintería de ribera, Pesca de concha perla con buzos de escafandra, Cubagua, Navío San Pedro Alcántara, Acuarios y estanques, La ballena donde se encuentra restos de una a la entrada del museo.
The Margarita Marine Museum was created in 1960, by a marine biologist, years later independent entities and the national government contributed money for improvements to the enclosure ⚒💵. This marine museum was finally inaugurated as it is known today with its exhibits on November 19, 1994 💡.
The museum is located in Boca del Rio, Nueva Esparta state, on Margarita Island ☀️🌅, and has about 1000 square meters of exhibits: The Venezuelan sea, Corals, Marine invertebrates, Mollusks, Crustaceans, Fish, Sharks, Rays, stingrays and similar species, Sea turtles, Marine mammals, Fishing and aquaculture, Boats and shore carpentry, Pearl shell fishing with scuba divers, Cubagua, San Pedro Alcantara ship, Aquariums and ponds, The whale where the remains of one can be found at the entrance of the museum.
As you can see, this museum has a great variety of marine fauna, as well as references to extinct animals, which is why it functions as a recreational museum for school children. When I went, I was about 15 years old and it was a place that attracted me a lot, they are pleasant moments that you always remember with nostalgia 😞.
We were also able to interact with sea turtles, which under this program they take care of them until they are bigger and can be released.
