June 6, 21: AutomaticWin, Grocery Shopping, Gardening, TV, and Games

Slept nearly till six this morning, but didn’t go to bed until nearly midnight, so yet another two hours short…had like two days there where I felt pretty rested, but I think that’s a memory now.

Not a lot going on during the usual morning routine. TipCC faucets still seem to be busted. 😭 I did grab some more airdrops, though, staked my VFT, and compounded my FIRE on Polygon. Only have like a few cents worth over there, so it’s kind of disappointing, but I’m still struggling with bridging over and wether it’s even worth it (why not just buy HIVE if that’s the point ultimately anyway?).

Today was Sunday, so we went and got Lady for her weekly walk. We stayed in town again, though, not that we were particularly late, but the bugs - I knew the bugs would be bad.

Gorgeous morning to be out. I did have long stuff on again, but it warmed up by the end and I was sweating a little in the sunshine.

The Sun did beat us out by a bit, and it did take some jogging to get the #AutomaticWin, but there wasn’t much to complain about this start to the day. 😁

Our flowers out front have started blooming:

Stargazers are out, but they hadn’t had a chance to open yet this morning.

The trail has gotten a lot more fun to walk, all kinds of nifty living things to see. Saw a toad by the path:

We saw quite a few turtles. 🐢 I swear there’s one in the middle there:

Got a few different kinds of beetle-bugs yesterday and got another one today:

These bushes were in full bloom today. They smelled absolutely wonderful and the bees were all the heck over it! Didn’t see any honeybees, but a few different species of other ones.

We didn’t really hear the froggies this year and were wondering what happened to them, but I guess a couple are still around, just not advertising.

The Bluegills are spawning. You can see the circles they make all along the shore of the pond. There’s surprisingly quite a few in there and some of them are a decent size!

When we went past yesterday I almost took a shot of these guys, but they hadn’t started opening yet, just about to. Today they were open. 😃

Seems like this pair of cranes digs living in this field. They were there yesterday and last week as well.

Love it when we get the God’s Rays coming through the clouds…didn’t turn out as amazing as it actually looked, but not too far off:

After we took Lady back home, we pretty much immediately headed into town to do the grocery shopping. Did pretty well this time, just over $100 and we were able to swap out the canister for the Sodastream, which is cool because recycling and cheaper! 😍

Got stuff put away and had a sandwich for lunch. I got my attendance reported and was set to call my dad (working on the todo list), but it was seriously nice out and Wenche went out to plant the peppers and carrots and radishes, so I went out and trimmed up the bushes on the other side of the fence that are creeping in and shading out.

We’ve got poison ivy really bad in one part of the yard, so as much as I abhor using chemicals, I broke down and got some RoundUp today. Sprayed it on and it looks like it’s doing its thing, but I’ll have to wait and see if it does the roots like it says…this is the fourth or fifth year; tried to get all the roots out, but apparently not done the greatest job. Hopefully this will do it.

Started getting ready for bed and the FitBit started tweaking out…vibrating and switching screens, woke me up as well. 🤬 I only started having a problem with it (pixels shutting off) this morning and already it’s gone into full-on self-destruct mode. Looks like I get to get a new watch here right quick!

In the evening Wenche made some yummy burgers and fries and we watched John Dies at the End. Pretty sure I’d seen it before, but it’s fun, if not super weird. Got to bed fairly late…probably going to pay for it.

All I really want from dShitty at this point is for gerber to at least acknowledge that I created the first Gerbot, and made up the name. 😡

Well, I did get hit up once manually…it was a pretty solid vote, so made up for a couple days, but the bot still isn’t functional, so there’s still no reason to play and even less reason to spend bread on potions.

I’m holding on to fourth, which is amazing, but I can’t really get a win except against abachon or occasionally pedrobrito. Fourth is good, but doesn’t make any difference right now. 😢

Didn’t really bother to mess with CryptoBrewmaster today. I think I got one ingredient in the morning, but otherwise, who cares. In the meantime the server was down for maintenance (proof of tinkering) once again.

Another rough day on Splinterlands, but I did make some progress!

Broke up into Diamond and made the decision to advance against my knowing better. Of course, I immediately lost back into Gold.

Had Dragon splinter for my quest today. Got a couple rare cards and some DEC, not too bad:

I realized in my rush to dump everything over to VFTlab that I’d neglected to get that white monster I was working on up to level six (the one with opportunity that gets scavenge - like the Vulture). So I bought some off the market…pretty expensive but I’m halfway through level five now.

Proof of #AutomaticWin:
