Attention voters of ARKY, RASPUTIN and TOAD
Alessio made a very important statement about the #ark delegate landscape:
Last week, a new version of ARK Core was released for the mainnet and all delegates were urged to update ASAP.
Delegates arky, rasputin and toad have failed to do so, despite repeated reminders throughout the week. They were informed that if they did not update by 5th August, there would be a public announcement regarding their lack of diligence. That time has now come.
Delegates are elected to secure the ARK Public Network. That involves making sure they quickly update to the latest Core when new versions are released, as they often include important bugfixes and security patches. These delegates have not only failed to do so, but they have also failed to engage with us at all throughout this process, so these delegates are harming the ARK Public Network as a result of their negligent behaviour.
Matthew DC, Chairman of the ARK Ecosystem SCIC, recently opined regarding delegates running outdated versions of Core. He said:
Get your shit together. The network can't afford for you to be lazy. The real message needs to be for the community and voters. Why are you supporting these people? Why do we continue to allow them to be on such an exclusive list of only 51 people in the entire world we trust to run this network? ... Just use your holdings to vote for someone who truly cares about the status and performance of the network. You lose nothing in the long run by letting others be responsible for the network but we all lose everything if you fuck it up.
Therefore, all voters of arky, rasputin and toad should consider whether it is still in their best interests to vote for delegates that do not take the security of the network seriously and continue to neglect the duties expected of them as delegates, or whether it's time for those delegates to be unvoted to make way for those that can and will.
TLDR: Revise your votes for arky, rasputin and toad to keep the ark network secure.
