He is very well known in Malaysia. A self-taught multi talented Artist who own Creative Enterprise, the publisher of a considered as National Humour Magazine, GILA-GILA.
He also draws cartoon. Most of Gila Gila covers were done by him. He is the editor in chief who control the content and sales of the longest published humour magazine in the country. Gila Gila was first hit the market in April, 1978. This year is Gila Gila’s 40th birthday.
Jaafar started with drawing comics before he tried his talent in cartooning. He also paint using oil dan acrylic, on portraits and nature. His famous collections are the series of Malaysian birds.
Today, Jaafar accepted an invitation by Malaysian Cartoonist Club, to share his experience and tips to those who interested.
Jaafar brought some of his previous works to show to the participants. He talked and told his stories during the morning session plus sharing the theories on painting his masterpieces.
