"Wood Nuthatch"_a charismatic bird in aquarelle

Wood nuthatch or Eurasian Nuthatch is a small and lovely bird living in temperate area preferably in old oaks woods. The bird has an incredible plumage combination of colors, blue-grey and orange-red, and the black eye-stripe make it looks like having some make-up. 🙂

Sitta Europeae, that's the Latin name, prefers nuts and seeds as diet, but also loves caterpillars or insects.

As you know I love birds and was a pleasure for me to finish this drawing.
