As Harvey Hits Texas, Art Museums Shutter

in #art7 years ago

On Friday morning, as Hurricane Harvey approached the Gulf Coast of Texas, museums in the region closed, saying they would keep their doors closed for the weekend. Harvey, which hit the state as a Category 4 hurricane, was downgraded to a tropical storm but has battered Texas since, with rain falling in unprecedented volumes and rampant flooding as a result. The reported death toll as of Monday afternoon reached eight, and the crisis is expected to continue as the storm maintains its hold over areas including Houston, the fourth-largest city in the United States.

Hope the storm subsides soon and doesn't get any more violent than this.
