@angli, writing is painful for me, it does not come naturally. I've been drawing since I was a toddler, my Mom was an artist too...we paint because we like too, thank you!

Why writing is painful for you?????

I have a learning disorder that effects my language skills, I can hear the words and numbers through my inner voice but I can't see them in my head. And it is very difficult to make the words go through my fingers, translating symbols into meaning, my disablity also affects my ability to remember things, the learning style may be a better way of phrasing it...but I am also gifted at other things, so I guess it was a trade off...

Math and writing gave me panic attacks as a child! I couldn't read until 5th grade and I finally taught myself because the way my teachers taught the subjects made no sense to me...

Same is the case with me...you know I have a lot of ideas in my mind but whenever I come to write them,I can't find words.Similarly I have a lot of images in my mind but I even forget them, this is a great drawback of mine..

I found tricks that help me write and stay creative. On very good trick is to write or create art in steps. I usually start with an idea, I read an article or see a picture I like. The first step is research, second step is outline, third step depending on if I am writing an article or painting a picture...for an article I write one word sentence introductions for each paragraph and start with an introduction sentence and a summary sentence at the end. I fill in details for each paragraph.

For a picture I work in layers, usually I have three layers this helps me stay organized and on track. I never think about the finished article or painting. I think about each little step and do the best I can with each step. This is how I avoid getting overwhelmed and I have fun!

Really beneficial..I may try to apply these steps.i use to write my own posts even than I thought after posted it that something is missing.have you visited my blog??
