Baby's First Mobile
Our children are exposed to technology, marketing and branding at earlier ages than ever before. This piece asks the question: "Will it reach into the crib?"
This work was created by manipulating sound to produce images on an oscilloscope. So the sound you hear is also the animation. If I were to run this sound through an oscilloscope you would see an identical image.
After many years of reworking this piece I finally have something close to the original concept I envisioned.
This piece has been entered into the Target Gallery - Illuminate exhibition at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. It is a juried show and I will know if I am in by May 18th.
