For those interested in the details.......

Value studies are studies of the various tones from light to dark.  This time of year before the burst of colour Springtime brings our way.....is an excellent time to study the varitions of tone.

Kind Regards,

bleujay

thank your welcome my friend..:)

It's so amazing these come from the clouds of the sky. Very creative indeed. My first thought on opening, was butterfly, but I like your swan title better. The flow of the neck and feathers and such. Keep up the great works. Cheers to a warm and nice day.

Hi @bleujay, another beautiful work based on such fluffy cloud, what I like most in your painting is the stamen that is hiding under petal, due to the shadow of it you created an impression of volume to scene. Like it and also using this trick in my works. Thank you for sharing your work and again, have a nice evening :)

Greetings @stef1,

How very kind of you to stop by.

Thank you for your lovely artistic comment. ^__^

One always desires to create dimension in one's work and this is certainly one way of acheiving it......through a layering of sorts.

Artist Winslow Homer used shadows in a marvelous wayin his work which has inspired bleujay.

All the best.

Cheers!
