I'm back with another fun drawing as well as another tutorial for ya. Let's start it!

• Extra Sketch layer
• Extra Color layer
• Fine Sketch layer
• Color Folder
  • Detail Color layer (Mask to the Base/Primary Color layer)
  • Base/Primary Color layer
• Background Pattern layer
• Rough Sketch layer
• Canvas Background layer (neutral color like grey)

• Canvas Prep/Rough Sketch

  Layers Used:

  Canvas Background layer

  Rough Sketch layer

  Begin with a neutral color background. Draw in the rough sketches of the character.

• Fine Sketch

  Layers Used:

  Fine Sketch layer

  Draw in a more detailed finer sketch over the roughs.

• Base/Primary Color

  Layers Used:

  Fine Sketch layer (Alpha Channel: On)

  Color Folder -> Base/Primary Color layer

  Turn on alpha channel temporarily for the fine sketch layer, with the fill tool blacken the sketches, then turn off alpha channel. Drawing in the primary color as a base color for the character within the sketches.

• Detail Color

  Layers Used:

  Color Folder -> Detail Color layer

  Then draw in the rest of the colors.

• Background/Final Check/Final Result

  Layers Used:

  Background Pattern

  Finally, draw in a simple background pattern. Then check over the drawing for errors or changes you see that could be made.
