Art from all things

There are somethings in life that most people fail to notice, but to someone that likes to create, such things mean everything to them. At a bus stop, while everyone was minding their own business; looking through their phones or reading some tabloid papers; I was busy trying to get an idea to draw. It takes a while for me to get an idea, especially when I force it to happen. Do you ever try to remember something and the more you try to remember it, the less you actually recall? well art is the same way, the more you force it the harder it actually is to create. I was just about to put away my things when I saw this young lad, must have been around 11 or 12, donning a Burger King crown. The moment I saw this kid I flashed back to when I was his age, when everything seemed more simple and I didn't have a care in the world. Obviously things change and keep you guessing, but seeing him like that made me want to capture the only way I know how, drawing. The bus was almost leaving, but I managed to finish the pencil draft. After a while, I tried to add to the drawing, and made the terrible mistake of dripping some ink on his face. Two big ol' marks right on his cheek. I decided to finish it anyways and in the end I was happy on how it had turned out. It reminded of my own cracks in my life. I hope that that kid is doing good out there. I don't know  where most people that I draw go, but I desire the best to all.
