in #art7 years ago (edited)

i think it was a monday morning

mindlessly scroling throw facebook on my phone hating 90% of the information people choose to share hating my self alil cuz i keep scrolling.

as im getting my dayly HATE on i stumble across one of seb lesters calligraphy videos and my mind exploded.

the flawlessness of the form, the smooth comftroble motion of his hand
i was fasinated and had to try it myself,
as in all good things it started alil shaky:

it seemed imposible to do it like the pro's but if theres one life motto that im not cinicall about its "progress not perfection"(alil corney i know but im corney shut up) so i kept going

as my interests deepened i started researching the calligraphy styles of languages that are not english, and thats were things got REALLY interesting, i mean english is cool and pretty af BUT omg there is so much beauty that i didn't see before in the more "exotic" languages like this arabic mandala i made:

this sanskrit one:

and this mongolian (messy i know)

and that's all i have to say about that

so ill try to finish this on a non-corny-note and wont say that you shouldn't give up but instead
ill just say progress not perfection
in everything
