Good day dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you had a day that brought numerous interesting experiences into your lives! Today I would like to talk about a plant and hope you are able to expand your knowledge.
Earlier I was able to photograph this species of Corydalis which is mainly common in the northern hemisphere and has a long history behind it. From an ecological point of view, it can be of great benefit and some of the more than 300 different species offer an important food source of pollen as well as nectar for different species of insects and it is particularly popular by some species of wild bees that are increasingly threatened with extinction and can be recommended for anyone who values ecological gardens. The flowering period extends pretty much throughout the summer and also for nocturnal insects it can be a great alternative and especially it is visited by moths and another property is that it is considered relatively easy to care for. The plant is considered toxic because of the alkaloids it contains, but there are some interesting areas of application from a medical point of view and it is particularly appreciated for the soothing or pain-relieving effect and the roots are used by the pharmaceutical industry for the production of ready-made preparations. Because of the strong toxicity, it is only medically effective in small doses and already in ancient cultures it was highly appreciated for the healing effect and there are traditions from ancient China that it was especially used during the Tang dynasty in the 8th century, which is also considered a Golden Age of China. Even today it is often used in traditional Chinese medicine and it has also gained an important meaning in the European Middle Ages and however, it appears rather more rarely in old writings and some legends have emerged in connection with it and there are views that the time of ripening of some plant parts were an indicator of happiness and in addition, it was often revered as a magical plant. In the end, I would like to mention that in case of illness, you should always ask your doctor or pharmacist of trust about the right medicine or application in order to avoid side effects!

I love how you go into such detail! I built a couple flower beds for my mom and her companion several years ago, then helped them pick out a good mix of annuals and perennials.
I had no experience with building flowerbeds or how to plant and take care of the the flowers in them, but I found a greap site that had specific directions for every type of flower we needed.
I ended up enjoying the every step of the project which has ended up a routine for that we have done three times now!
