It seems that the world of "Tattoo" is something current or modern, however it is a millenary custom and perhaps one of the first since the modern human being emerged. A custom practiced by different cultures, in the western world was punished during some periods exactly in the middle and modern age where it governed the catholic church and was only accepted in the crusaders knights in order to be recognized in case of death in some battle finally the tattoos were accepted again in the West.
It is believed that this was a practice known by multiple cultures and performed differently. This is how it is recorded that in 1991 on a glacier located on the current Austrian border with Italy was found a frozen Neolithic hunter about 5,300 years ago who is called Ötzy and who had tattooed back and knees. A second man was found in Siberia with a tattoo on his shoulder and the studies carried out are estimated to date from 2,500 years ago.
