It was once said that when you see such a flower you must make a wish. It can't be a wish for your self but for someone else in a positive way, a beautiful way. It is said when you wish for something for someone else in a pure good manner it becomes much more powerful of a wish. If it's driven by love and compassion truly it's even more so right.
The old ways were to pick the flower and by the time it had become brittle, your wish would either become true or not. You would know by that time if it worked. Even though we give flowers to our loved ones we still don't really understand the concept behind it. Most adopted a new meaning to it as many cultures would.
The new belief is one of correction as it takes an even older belief saying that not to pick the flower but to carefully dig it up and put it into the pot next to your loved one as a gift so that it shares the same energy and becomes one in the same when the flower has grown to its old age and died. Should your loved one die first your loved one would become apart of that potted flower and it would become more powerful as a wish for others so people would plant other flowers from that flower to grow its line and become a first gen for wishing flowers. So should a flower catch your eye in the field, it could be calling you, what would you do I wonder?
