Although it is spring, it is still cold in our place and at this moment it's snowing unexpectedly.
There are no blooming flowers in outside here, so I decided to paint some beautiful flowers. I always like to stay at home to paint something I like on weekend on such cold day.
So，today I would like to share with you the painting -- sweet-scented osmanthus, which has a long history in China and also is one of the famous flowers in our country. Small though it is, it has a big advantage in flavor. When it is blooming, the air is full of the fragrance of flowers. You will be intoxicated by the heavy fragrance of its flowers. So many poets from ancient times to the present love to extol it.
Furthermore, its flowers,braches,roots are also common ingredients of medicinal materials besides views. And its flowers can be made into tea, wine and dessert. In Chinese painting, it is a symbol of riches and honour because it has the same sound of riches and honour.
Ok, let's start.
周末在家，闲着画了一树桂花。说起桂花，就算没见过我想有很多人也听过这首经典老歌《八月桂花香》吧。
桂花在我国有着悠久的历史，也是我国十大名花之一。虽然它的花型小，花色淡，并不引入注目；没有春天里牡丹那么艳丽，也没有夏日荷花的风姿，但是它有一个最大的优点就是，花香浓郁，沁人心脾，散发着甜美的芬芳。这种具有内在美的品性自古以来就会受到很多人的赞美。
比如 杨万里的《月桂》
不是人间种，移从月中来。
广寒香一点，吹得满山开。
还有我最喜欢的李清照的这首《鹧鸪天·桂花》
暗淡轻黄体性柔，情疏迹远只香留。
何须浅碧轻红色，自是花中第一流。
梅定妒，菊应羞，画栏开处冠中秋。
骚人可煞无情思，何事当年不见收。
这些无不表现出他们对桂花的喜爱之情。
而且，桂花除了观赏之外，还是一种药材。它不仅可以泡茶，酿酒，还可以做糕饼。而在国画里，桂花的桂谐音贵，喻意富贵如意，真是大爱啊。
Material 工具：
Chinese brushes 毛笔 3 只
Chinese painting color : 中国画颜料
Xuan Paper (raw) 生宣纸
Chinese ink 墨汁
Small tray for washing brushes 笔洗
The Process:
用墨先勾画出桂花树的枝干。
用花青画出桂花树的硬硬的叶子。
一组一组画，都画上。
用一只细笔勾画叶筋。这步非常重要哦，因为叶子的生长方向，随着你画的叶筋位置不同，方向也不一样。
用藤黄和朱镖画出桂花的花。桂花的颜色有白色，金色，橙黄等，颜色不同称呼也不一样，分别为银桂，金桂，丹桂。今天我选的是金桂。先从上面开始，一簇簇的画。
基本就完成了。

其实蓝色没什么寓意的。
第一，中国画里面很多事物的颜色都跟实际的不一样，也就是人们常说的艺术加工和创造。
第二，中国画里用墨色和蓝色来画叶子是很常见的，一般表现那种革质叶，硬的那种叶子就会选用蓝色和墨色来画。而表现纸质叶，有时候用绿色，有时候用墨或者蓝色。当然也根据画面的感觉或者自己的喜好搭配。
树干很真实写意
画家的眼光总是这样独特。
虽然画的是桂花，但是枝干和叶子才是它的亮点。
特别真实，毛笔水平不高还真的画不出，难就难在要一挥而就，没什么出错的余地。
过奖啦，有时候我也把握不好。
配色很高雅，覺得很適合繡在手絹上面
你这么说还真适合绣在手绢上。话说好多年没用手绢了，呵呵。
This is a lovely post and painting. I love the blue colour you use in the leaves. I enjoy osmanthus tea and smelling the fragrance in the air when I visit Guilin so when I look at your painting I have beautiful memories.
