Sigil Painting for Hannah Part 3 - a sketch of the Mermaid with the Sigils...

in #art7 years ago (edited)

My friend Hannah commissioned me to do a Sigil Painting for her, using a long Christian Prayer as the Sigil - I ended up doing 5 separate sigils, plus 1 for "God" and 1 for "Amen", and as you can see here, I put the "God" sigil before each of the phrases - you can read about that in my other posts on this topic:

Here is the Sketch of Sigils in the Ocean...

preliminary sketch of sigils floating in the ocean

Here I have used Tracing Paper to add in the Mermaid

I used Crayola Markers to lay in some color so I can get the gist of what it will look like painted

Here is the sketch I am going to use to create the painting. I am going to hide the Sigils in the waves...I will make it so you really can't see them all that clearly... there will be bubbles and texture in the waves so the Sigils will be just a part of the ocean...and I will put them on the back of the picture so that Hannah's subconscious mind can see them once, and then she can hang the painting in her house...

Now, I need to sit with this for a while, so I can decide how I am going to make this painting... Will there be 3D elements? What will they be? What substrate will I use...? etc. Not sure yet. It will take a few days for this information to come to me.

Original Prayer

God of the Silence: Calm and quiet my soul at the fount of your loving presence. In your silence, replenish me with a force for love, especially for those who are the most demanding. When there is nowhere else to go, inspire me to drop into my heart and find your life-giving grace there, weaving the fabric of human reality into a tapestry of love. Amen

Oh God, grant me an undivided heart to love and serve you today with all my heart, mind, strength and soul. Open my eyes to see you and serve you in the ordinary events of this day. May Love radiate through me. Amen.
