Sigils for Christians... A Sigil painting for Hannah, Part 1

in #art7 years ago

My friend Hannah wants a sigil painting like this one. She handed me these 2 prayers to make a "sigil" out of. I have never made a Sigil out of "prayers" before, like this. I asked her if I could change them into positive statements to speak to the subconscious mind and she agreed.
I will make her a 3D painting with these 2 prayers as 5 sigils with a mermaid- and we will see what happens.

"God of the Silence: Calm and quiet my soul at the fount of your loving presence. In your silence, replenish me with a force for love, especially for those who are the most demanding. When there is nowhere else to go, inspire me to drop into my heart and find your life-giving grace there, weaving the fabric of human reality into a tapestry of love. Amen"

"Oh God, grant me an undivided heart to love and serve you today with all my heart, mind, strength and soul. Open my eyes to see you and serve you in the ordinary events of this day. May Love radiate through me. Amen."

She is paying me in bitcoin.

That prayer is beautiful and so is the sigil. The painting is one my favorites since I joined steemit. I saved the sigil on my computer and I'll try to forget the prayer so it goes into my subcon. Is that correct how it's supposed to work?

I have not made the sigils yet - there are 5 sigils and i have not made them yet - I will do them for part 2 - I only did one for God- for Amen and for the first part of the prayer....

Got it. Thanks.

"Sigils" and "Christians" should be mutually exclusive, shouldn't they?

Why? If you understand deeply that a sigil is a visual prayer and you understand deeply the teachings of Jesus Christ spoken directly to your individual heart by the Holy Spirit, then no. But if you are superficial and trust the mainstream version of Christianity and the misunderstandings and misquotes of the Bible written by men with a desire to control the followers - then I suppose so.

True, the problem is, mainstream Christianity is mainstream. It is traditionalist to the core, shallow, and all to often obsessed with control.

I'm concerned though that any form of non-mainstream Christianity has no rigid system (of values, rituals, effective spiritual practices). Someone going for Sigils probably belongs to a protestant branch or got bored enough within the traditional branch, none of which pleases me - because there is quite a lot of confusion and division between the denominations of Christianity already. I'd rather go for something new entirely, like Luciferianism. Or return to local pagan traditions.
