A lot of people decorate/design their spaces in neutrals these days. Funly, the items that can be used to make art in that color scheme are nearly all the things anyone can get nearly free these days....or from the wrappings from things they ordered that weren't free. LOL.....
I try to step out of my color comfort zone occasionally, just to see if I can. The close up photo shows a lot of textures in such a tiny piece.

We've just redecorated our place and have basically gone back to a colour scheme we first had in the 70's. 😂 very natural colours i.e. earth tones etc. Very cozy.
That sounds fun to redecorate retroly. It is true earth tones make for a cozy setting.
Although I do see things about folks doing retro decor, I never thought about going back to my own personal past to decorate today. Interesting thought.
