Original Art - "Jackalope" (Pyrography)

in #art4 years ago

Hello again ladies and gentlemen!

This time up is the most recent creation of the very talented Erika Voss of Scratched & Burnt, a wood burning of a jackalope.

This piece, like all of her wood burning art, is done by hand (no lasers, not even ones attached to the heads of sharks) on lightweight, easy to hang wood then sealed for UV and scratch resistance. Though it will not be posted until sometime in March, this piece is the first of which I will make a timelapse video for. In fact, I should have it finished up today, but we don't want to start the YouTube channel until we're ready with a corresponding website.

In other news, we just received word we've been accepted to the Philadelphia ComicCon! We're very excited as this will be the first time we've exhibited at a Con. If you're from Philly and plan to join, come find our "Creator" exhibit!

For now, leave your impressions! We love to hear what people think be it criticism or suggestions for different pieces. Until our website is unveiled, you can see some of her other work at the Etsy store - Scratched and Burnt or follow scratchedandburnt on Instagram.
