I usually delay it for a few days but they will be going out shortly. Sadly I have been fooled a few times in the past by plagiarism and the community has been very helpful in calling it out. I have unfortunately paid out the winners in the past before finding out the entries were not original so I learned my lesson :)

ah ok is a good extra strategy, it is really unfortunate that people cheat and abuse your good intentions, I will delete the previous comment so that it is not misunderstood.
