Great drawing of Capricorn! I really like it! Interestingly, my moon sign is Capricorn and has just as much to do with my personality as Cancer does. Also, Cancer and Capricorn are opposite signs so maybe that has something to do with the water present in the sea-goat? Not sure about that last part :D
Cardinal signs are indeed initiatory and active... Mutable signs are flexible and finishers. Fixed signs are rigid but also they carry a vision through. There are 4 of each of those modalities, one for each element. :D A lot of my signs are Cardinal signs.
