Ah, yes, I thought so... I mean the title says your mediums, but I couldnt be sure where you used what :) Gouache looks to be more controllable than watercolours, I am interested in learning it :)
Yes, you could say it's more controllable. Because you can use it opaque, you don't have to be so careful about building your painting from light to dark. But if you stay away from the white paint, you can use it transparent, the same way you use watercolors.
You should definitely try it!
