First Post: My Re-Emergence into the Hive

Hello, busy bees! I've finally made my first post on the Hive. I was one of those who eagerly awaited its launch, right after the announcement of this Steem fork's creation back in March. So, I've been on here since the start, reading, upvoting, and commenting here and there. But, as usual, I was too busy with work to create anything to post here.

Now, With all the crazy things happening all over the world when the pandemic began, the likelihood of suddenly losing our jobs seemed too real to just shake off and dismiss as a paranoid idea. It became one of our biggest fears, right next to contracting the disease and dying from it. At the same time, the thought of having to leave Steemit to look for another similar blogging platform made things a bit more uneasy for me.

Steemit, for me, has always been the backup income generator to fall back on, in case things go south in the employment aspect of my life. But, thankfully, the announcement of a Steem fork known as "Hive", filled me with hope. Plus, our fears were quickly quelled by our bosses' reassurances that they wouldn't cease production, and we still have our jobs up to now.

And, just right before all that fighting and drama that led to the creation of the Hive, I was about to start creating my own branding, you know, logos and stuff to decorate my Steemit blogs with, just in case blogging (and vlogging) would turn into my main source of livelihood.

But with Steemit now a sinking ship that many are abandoning, it suddenly dawned on me that all that stuff that I had planned and designed, wouldn't look right for my new existence here in the Hive. A total re-design needed to be done.

Since I am still quite busy with my job to devote more time and effort on it, I thought that the best way to get my creativity fired up for the new challenge of creating new designs for my reincarnation here, would be to play with existing Hive designs and concepts. And what's the best way to find out what's good and what's not? I'll post them all here for you to see and even download too.

So, these are some of the artworks I've made to get warmed-up for the task. I've got tons of ideas that I would like to snatch from out of head and give life to and put out here, and this is just the start. I hope you'll like them.

I've made wallpapers of these two renders. Get them in the links below.

A Sneak Peek of a WIP

And here is a test render of diamonds I modeled in Blender. It is a part of another thing I am modeling, a special something for a special someone. Whoa, now wait a minute there, peeps! This isn't what you think it is. It's not for a ring I want to slip into someone's finger. 😅 😂

I am making a 3D model of something that is encrusted with rhinestones, but instead of those rhinestones, I decided to put diamonds for a better effect. You will see the finished artwork soon as it's something I've been itching to finish asap and post here on the Hive.

That's all for now, and thank you for reading. And if you liked what I've shared, please vote, comment, and share this with others.

This blog and all images in it was created by me with Blender, eSteem Desktop, and GIMP

It looks nice! :) Well done!

Glad you like it, and thanks for reblogging my post. 🙂

You're welcome :)

Hello! I am glad that you are with us again! :)

Hello to you too! And yeah, I've been here right from the start but just couldn't post yet back then.

Welcome to the Hive. Steem looks like a sinking ship. The English speaking community looks like a ghost town, when you ignore all the people who are copy pasting their posts from Hive. 😂

I've stopped using it altogether and at the moment I don't have any active post there. I might as well focus my energy where all the people are. Right?

I just upvote some of my friends who still post there. But my feed there is now almost like a ghost town, with only a few people posting regularly and often just a cross-post of blogs they posted here first.

Wow, very nice artworks

Glad you like them. Feel free to share them with others. And thanks for stopping by. 🙂

Your welcome

Phew glad you were able to keep your job! A number of people haven't been so lucky D:

The hive pieces look pretty cool, and the diamonds are very sparkly :) Glad you're posting again, are you going to be able to post a bit more now or are things still crazy busy?

Thank you! And yeah, we're quite lucky to still have a job, even though it's not keeping us as busy as before the pandemic.

But, it still is as stressful because of the fact that with millions of people accessing the Internet at the same time, either for work or play, it is sometimes impossible to access certain sites, esp. my favorite image hosting site, Imgur, where I put all the images I use here for my blogs.

So I had to search for a new one during my few days of downtime last week. This new one I'm using, Imgpile, seems to be reliable and hasn't given me any headaches yet.

I guess I would be able to post at least twice a week, but my target is at least 4 art posts in a week. We'll see.

4 art posts per week sounds pretty intense, but you're probably used to it from working XD Meanwhile I struggle to get out one post a week x_x lol.

Yep I think all the communications places are noticing the added load, I'm wondering if our government is regretting their tightarsed ways a decade ago when they had the chance to upgrade the communication infrastructure and chose not to because it was infinitely more important to have a budget surplus to look responsible XD

4 art posts is doable. For me it would be just one big blog chopped up into 4 parts to be posted throughout the week.

That's assuming it's done by Sunday evening and the first part gets posted Monday night. :)

Yooo welcome back! Those are some pretty nice renders, both the HIVE and the diamonds. I'm glad not everything turned out as scary as you worried. I'm hoping you'll have a bit more time to post your amazing creations here on Hive ^^

THanks, bud. We're not as busy at work than before this pandemic began, so that means I will be posting more nowadays.

welcome friend to hive . I hope to a good day .
