It took me forever to do it, and now it is done. I minted my first NFT on OpenSea and also sold it. A friend of mine asked me to mint this drawing as an NFT some time ago so he could add it to his collection.
He and a number of my other artist friends have already been long in the NFT game, so I'm a bit late to the party.
When it this NFT was tweeted out, there were quite a few familiar names from Hive that gave the post some love. Thank you all.
I have a couple of more complex animated NFTs made and in production. But I'd like to get these on to one of the bigger platforms, however that might be hard now as there a flood of celebrity names flooding the market.
I'd welcome information on how to make some progress in this brave new world of digital art.
What have your experiences been?
Congratulations ang good luck with NFT! I'm planning to join OpenSea as well, for now I'm exploring possibilities of NFT Showroom
Thank you Leia! How's NFT Showroom been working out for you?
I sold one copy of an abstract photograph, I'm planning to try with my art also. I still don't really know what exactly I'm doing but so far so good, I'm gonna dig deeper
You can go straight to OpenSea without having to worry about gas fees. They offer gas-free minting on the Polygon blockchain.
Congratulation! I also started recently, but I didn't leave the cozy Hive environment, so I have my first two (almost three) animations based on my artwork on NFT Showroom. Good luck!
Thank you! There are so many NFT platforms these days. It is hard to know which are worthwhile. How has NFT Showroom been gong for you?
I've seen some of your NFT animations in my feed.
If that's the case, won't the market for these be worse further down the road? I don't know the current NFT scene too well, but the iron may still be hot. You can always make more of them, right? :P
Yes, the best time to start was last year as friend of mine keeps telling me. He's done rather well out of it. It's like all of the other crypto projects, if you get in early you make a killing. But look at us here on Hive, we're still here even though the boom was when Steemit launched.
In a year from now, maybe the best time to start was last year ;)
Congrats on the sale. It's very comforting to know that drawings also sell. I will mint some of mine too someday.
Thank you! The tokenized drawing sold because the collector also already owns physical artwork from me. I'm hoping that I can sell a few more.
All the best for your own endeavours.
