Yooo how is it going? I'm back again to share one of my recent commissioned portraits using colored pencils and the process how I made it.
Here's the final output and this portrait is on a 9x12 pad.

The Process
So the first thing I did was getting the outline and exact proportion of my reference photo. What I actually did was more likely a stenciling method wherein I printed out my reference and then I shaded the back part with pencil, covering the figure. After that, I traced the outline and some features of my reference to my canvas.
Then I started adding colors to the outline. I started on some part of the nose and the cheeks. I used burnishing technique to blend colors effectively.
I started detailing the left eye and added color to the eyeglasses frame. Also continued blending colors to achieve the closest skin tone.
I finished the right eye and finalized the color of the face.
I finalized everything and it's done!
Woooow the drawing is amaizing and the step by step looks wonderful. Congratulations!
