Abstract colorful portrait-digital painting-showing the process step by step

I am going back and forth between pencil drawing and digital painting.
I see a lots of people who says that drawing digitally is easier than doing it on paper with pencil.
For me, i feel so comfortable with pencil and paper. I bought a graphic tablet and its supposed to feel like a pen and paper but adjusting to the tablet is taking way more time than i thought it would.

It's like i am a kid and learning how to hold a pencil and write on a paper. I am watching videos from youtube about digital painting and there are so many speed painting videos in there. I see them and wish that some day i would be able to draw like that. But first i need to get used to this tablet.

The pen of this tablet is like a wand from harry potter movie. And it feels like the wand chose the wrong wizard. I mean its like the pen doesn't understand what i wants it do. I know that its totally on me. I need to learn to use the pen fluently.

Anyway, i am practicing as much as i can.
I painted a portrait in a weird way. I hope you like it

As usual i am going to show you the process of this painting

I started with a rough and just enough understandable sketch
Then i pour color into it
Then i did some shading and created the background

Its done in adobe photoshop cc 2017 with a wacom intous small art version.

I am gonna try to make better art than this.
Let me know if you like it and how can i improve this
