I don't actually remember the story that I was coming up with when I first drew these, I think they were space pirates, but now I look at them and think they'd fit pretty well with my new story project. I really like how it would basically be impossible for him to smile, like they don't even have smiles in his race, or it would be JUST the corners of the mouth and the majority of it would still be in a scowl.
I remember I modeled this guy in Maya, but then I think I painted on a few details like the folds under the eyes, and did some really misguided thing with the color, not sure what's going on there, but I like the shapes. This guy's gonna make a comeback in my new story :) Yay for recycling designs!
