The Block Explosion

I made an explosion out of blocks. Sometimes it's hard for me to come up with words to go along with the stuff I make and now is one of those times so I'll just go stream of consciousness with this one.

This doesn't have a deeper meaning. I'm not trying to say anything. It's not particularly much of a self expression. I just usually feel an urge to make things. If I had never discovered Steem, I'd still be doing the same thing. The idea that I can get paid a bit of crypto for doing the things I'd be doing anyway still blows my mind.

Steem is at $0.13. When you're doing something that you'd be doing anyway making a post isn't much of a chore. If I only got a dime, it would still be worth it because, like I said, I'd be doing this anyway regardless.

The tools I use are really complex, and it takes a lot of tinkering to figure them out which is why I'm constantly tinkering. All these little "sketches" that I do tend to find their way into my client work in one way or another. With each little sketch I'll usually figure some little thing out and I guess get a tiny bit more creatively powerful. An increased power level if you will. This time around the thing I learned was that I could link certain parameters to particle color in a pretty easy way as well as what some parameters do in something called a domain object that you don't care about. In the end it made it to where I could color and control light emission from a bunch of cubes that also follow the motion of an explosion. I think it looks pretty cool.

Wrapping this up I actually created something last night, but I didn't think it was quite cool enough to make a whole post about, but as a sub post inside another post, I think it's good.

I made some noodle type things that all clump together and wobble around. This is now the end of this post. I hope you enjoyed it.

I feel pretty much the same way which is why I’m slightly amused by people complaining that the post payouts they get aren’t worth the effort that goes into producing a post 🤣

The contents of the can of worms was totally worth its own post but it works just as well as a cool closer 🙃

The block explosion was fun, like hardcore unnecessarily hard pixel art 😆

At first I thought it would be cool to do a LEGO Movie type thing, but it looked a lot cooler with the blocks smaller :p

Nice explosion.
Post value in Steem remains same.
I also just blog as a bit of a journal usually. But I write about Steem sometimes.

Those noodles at the end are nice and relaxing to watch. mmmmmm noodles.....

Ahhhh moving things on my screen! Loved the block explosion (will be a nice visual to go with some kind of blockchain disaster someday, those days will probably come :D) - but the squiggly rubber bands thingies that hug each other were also really cool - I actually looked at those longer hehe.
